1. Dosage:

  • Dogs: 0.2–0.5 mg per kg body weight, administered intramuscularly (IM), subcutaneously (SC), or intravenously (IV) as needed.
  • Cats: 0.2–0.5 mg per kg body weight, administered IM, SC, or IV as needed.

2. Route of Administration:

  • Intramuscular (IM)

  • Intravenous (IV) – Slow infusion if needed

3. Usage:
Avil (Pheniramine Maleate) is an antihistamine used to treat:

  • Allergic reactions (including insect bites and food allergies)
  • Urticaria (hives)
  • Anaphylaxis (as adjunct therapy)
  • Pruritus (itching)
  • Motion sickness

4. Precautions:

  • Use with caution in animals with glaucoma, cardiovascular disease, or urinary retention.
  • May cause drowsiness and mild sedation.
  • Avoid overdose, as it can cause CNS depression or excitation.
  • Always consult a veterinarian before administration.

Avil Injection contains Pheniramine Maleate at a concentration of 22.75 mg/mL, and the recommended dosage is 0.2–0.5 mg/kg.
